Air Force Women’s Volleyball team marks first victory at Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship-2019

A 14 member Air Force Women’s Volleyball team left for China to represent the country at the ‘Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship 2019’ from 27 April 2019 to 5 May 2019. The team, which has won four consecutive national Volleyball Championships, includes several national players in its ranks. 

This is considered as a unique opportunity for the SLAF Women’s Volleyball team to obtain international experience and exposure as Asia’s best Women’s teams are due to attend this Championship.

The team won their first victory against Turkmenistan Binagar team by 3-0 yesterday (28 Apr 2019).

The Secretary of SLAF Volleyball, Wing Commander HMHG Herath is also with the team as the Head of delegation.
