Commander’s Visit To SLAF Unit Koggala

Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Air Force Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke made an official visit to SLAF Unit Koggala on 06 August 2010.
On his visit, Commander declared open the newly renovated Airmen’s & Airwomen’s Transit Rooms & Main Entrance Complex on the invitation of Wing Commander Channa Dissanayaka, Commanding Officer of SLAF Unit Koggala.
This Air Force station is a gift of the nature as it is among the most beautiful Air Force stations in the country. Its services are patronized by all SLAF personnel to spend their leisure in holiday facilities situated in this unit with breath taking views of nature. In addition, at present, three Cessna – 150 of No: 01 FTW are carrying out Basic Flying Training in this station.
The under mentioned personnel were commended by the Commander for their meritorious performances.
