Commander's Inspection of SLAF Academy China Bay

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias conducted the Commander's Inspection of Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay today (28 June 2019). Prior to the inspection proper, the Commander reviewed the Commander's Inspection Parade commanded by the Commandant of SLAF Academy China Bay, Air Commodore HSS Thuyacontha.
The Commander awarded Commendations to following service personnel and civilian in recognition of their outstanding meritorious services towards the activities of the Academy and the entire Air Force.

Corporal Wasantha Kumara BG - Operations Ground
Leading Aicraftman Jayampathi KM - Construction Equipment Technician
Mr. WWAS Weerasinghe - SLAF Civilian
During the course of the inspection the Commander visited all areas of the Academy including No. 1 Flying Training Wing, No. 3 Maritime Squadron, Junior Command &Staff College, Non Commissioned Officer's Management School and No. 24 Regiment Wing.
The Commander also joined the customary all ranks lunch at the Airmen's Mess with a cross section of Officers, Airmen, Airwomen and Civilian Staff.
Addressing all personnel of the Academy after the inspection, the commander expressed his appreciation of their hard work in maintaining the Academy up to the required standard. During his address he reminded that this academy has played pivotal role by producing professional armed force and quality aviation professionals to serve the Sri Lanka Air Force to achieve its future endeavors.
