SLAF Golfers Win Army Commander's Cup 2019

Highlanders Golf Cup 2019 organized by the Sri Lanka Army Golf Association was conducted on 29th June 2019 at the Sri Lanka Army Golf Course in Diyatalawa under the patronage of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake.
The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dais had been specially invited for the event and played for the Highlanders Golf Cup 2019 as well. In addition, the Chief of Staff of SLAF, Air Vice Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana played for the above event where as five other Air Force Officers participated in the Army Commander’s Golf Cup 2019 which was conducted for the first time at the same venue in parallel to the Highlanders Golf Cup 2019.
The Sri Lanka Air Force made its mark as the Championship of the Inaugural Army Commander’s Cup 2019 was secured by Group Captain Hiyumal Dharmadasa, the Commanding Officer SLAF Sation Koggala and the Runners-Up award of the Highlanders Golf Cup 2019 ‘B’ Division was secured by Air Vice Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, the Chief of Staff and Chairman of SLAF Golf.
