Bangladesh Air Force Water Polo Team Visits Sri Lanka for the First Time

A 16 member Water Polo Team from the Bangladesh Air Force arrived at the Bandaranayake International Airport (BIA) on 1st July 2019 to participate in a friendly Water Polo Tournament with their SLAF counterparts under the Sports Exchange Programme. The team will remain in Sri Lanka until 7 July 2019 during which three friendly Water Polo matches and country tours have been arranged.
The team led by the Manager, Squadron Leader Mohommad Habibur Rahman and 15 others were garlanded and warmly welcomed by the officials of SLAF Aquatic Sports Committee on their arrival at BIA yesterday.
This is the first time that a Bangladesh Team is visiting Sri Lanka for a Water Polo Tournament between counterparts in blue. The visit is a testament to the genial relationship between the BAF and the SLAF as well as the two nations.
