Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay won the Championship while the SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala became runners up, at the inaugural Inter Unit Chess Championships 2019 concluded yesterday (19th July 2019) at the SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala.

Pilot Officer SS Waduge won the award for the Best Player of the Inter Unit Chess Championship.

The Director Aeronautical Engineering, Air Vice Marshal MD Ratnayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the finals. Chairman SLAF Chess, Group Captain AN Wijesiriwardena, Officers and Other Ranks were also present to witnessed the event.
