The Annual Christian Service 2010 of the Sri Lanka Air Force was held at St Theresa’s Church, Thimbirigasyaya in the evening hours of 18th August 2010.

The officiating clergy representing all major Christian denominations were Rev. Fr. Tony Martyn, Rev Fr. Neil Karunaratna, Rev. Fr. W. Varshamanage,Rev. Fr. N. Fernando, Rev. Fr. Ebenezer Joseph and Pastor Tyrone Wille.

This Service is held annually to thank the Lord for the souls of all those brave men and women of the Sri Lanka Air Force, who made the supreme sacrifice, in defence of our motherland and those who died whilst on active service and to bless the families left behind by those fallen colleagues.

Further blessing of the Leaders of the Country, the three Commanders, all ranks presently serving Air Force and all establishments and the assets of the Air Force too was carried out during the service.

The Chief of Staff Air Vice Marshal PB Premachandra graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Service was also attended by the Air Force Board of Management, Officers and a cross section of other ranks representing all Bases and Stations as well as the various trades of the Air Force.
