Change of Command at SLAF Station Iranamadu

The outgoing Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Iranamadu, Group Captain C Wickramaratne RWP, USP, MDS, MA (Sec Stu-USA), psc handed over duties to Group Captain UPYR Pathirana RWP, during the traditional Change of Command Parade yesterday (24 Aug 2019).
Group Captain Wickramaratne took over Command of SLAF Station Iranamadu on 31st July 2018 and will be proceeding to the Directorate of Ground Operation at Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ).
Group Captain Pathirana held the appointment of Commanding Officer of No 45 VIPP Wing at AFHQ prior to being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Iranamadu.
The ceremonial Handing Over/Taking Over Parade took place at the at the Station Parade Square and was commanded by Wing Commander MGWR Menuwara.
The Outgoing Commanding Officer addressed the parade and all personnel of the Station and thanked them for the support they had extended during his tenures as the Commanding Officer.
