The Chairperson of the Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Sonia Kottegoda chaired a press conference yesterday (10 September 2019) to educate the public on the ‘Udarai Oba’ musical extravaganza which is scheduled to be held at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre on 14th September 2019.

The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Mayuri Prabhavi Dias, Presidents of Army, Navy, Police and Civil Security Department attended for the Press Conference.

This musical programme is focused on raising funds to uplift the living standards of the Service Personnel and their families by establishment of a Vocational Training Centre (VTC) at Boossa, Galle. The event is organized by the Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit with the assistance of Seva Vanitha Units of the tri-services, Police and Civil Security Department. A galaxy of popular artists is expected to perform at the event.
