SLAF Station Morawewa commenced a Jack Fruit Plantation Project which would see the plantation of 1500 Jack Fruit plants on 16 September 2019. This project would see a land area of over 5 Acres cultivated during this programme in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Hadabima Authority.

The Programme was inaugurated under the directions of the Commander of the Air Force.

Acting Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Morawewa, Wing Commander HMT Nandaka Kumara, all Officers, Other Ranks, and Civilian Staff of Morawewa also attended for the ceremony.
