No. 62 Junior Command and Staff Course Commences

The No. 62 Junior Command and Staff Course commenced today (23 September 2019) at the Junior Command and Staff College, Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay. The Director Training, Air Vice MarshalMDAP Payoe attended the Opening Address as the Chief Guest upon the invitation of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain SDGM Silva.  The Chief Instructor and Senior Instructor also briefed the Student Officers about important aspects of the Course. The Student Officers were also given the opportunity for self introductions.

Twenty Five (25) Sri Lanka Air Force Officers, an Officer from the Sri Lanka Navy and an officer each from Bangladesh Air Force, Indian Air Force, Pakistan Air Force and Republic of China Army Air Force reported to follow the course scheduled for a duration of 14 weeks (23 September 2019 to 17 December 2019).

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
