The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of Non Commissioned Officers' Management Courses

The NCO Management School of Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay held the Certificate Awarding Ceremony No.08 English Medium and No.79 Sinhala Medium Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Courses on the 27th September 2019. Air Cdre RP Liyanagamage (Base Commander SLAF Base Anuradhapura) graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The primary objective of conducting this course is to impart a sound academic and managerial knowledge, while sharpening leadership qualities within the Non Commissioned Officers of the Tri-Forces. The course ran through a well-formed syllabus over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. Both courses were affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfilled the required criteria were awarded with a certificate in Management. The No.08 English Medium and No. 79 Sinhala Medium Batches comprised of 41 Senior Non Commissioned Officers and 45 Junior Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF and 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the SL Navy. At the Ceremony 88 awardees received certificates to mark the successful completion of the courses.
Warrant Officer Wijesinghe (Fire Fighter) and Corporal Amarasinghe BTA (Aero E&I) were the Best All-Rounders of the No.08 English Medium Course, while Petty Officer SPP Kumara (Navy) and Corporal Pabasara KWI (Ops Grd II) were the Best All-Rounders in the No.79 Sinhala Medium Course. Other special award winners are as follows.
