The Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Lanka Air Force Base Vavuniya conducted a charity programme under the patronage and guidance of the Base Commander Air Commodore LH Sumanaweera on 28 September 2019 at Mahakachchakodiya Primary School continuing the tradition of conducting social service for the betterment of the community.

The programme was carried out to completely renovate the buildings and to donate more than 750 books for the under privileged children studying at Mahakachchakodiya Primary School.

The occasion was adorned by the presence of the President of Seva Vanitha Unit Sri Lanka Air Force Base Vavuniya, Mrs. Thushanthi Sumanaweera, Base Commander Sri Lanka Air Force Base Vavuniya Air Commodore LH Sumanaweera, Officers and Airmen/Airwomen of the Base.
