The Change of Command ceremony of the Sri Lanka Air Force Station was held today (3 October 2019).

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardhana RSP, USP, MDS, MIExpE, psc handed over duties to Air Vice Marshal Camillus Labrooy WWV, RSP, USP, MMS (Ind), ndc (Ban), hdmc.

The ceremonial Handing Over / Taking Over Parade took place at the at Station Colombo premises and was commanded by Squadron Leader Ashirvada De Silva.

The Outgoing Commanding Officer addressed the parade and all personnel of the Station and thanked them for the support they had extended to him during his tenure as the Commanding Officer and also expressed his appreciation for having had the opportunity to serve in the prestigious capacity of the Commanding Officer Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo.
