Sri Lanka Air Force men’s Judo team emerged runners-up at the 57th National Judo Championship 2019 organized by the Ministry of sports and worked off at the Jayathilaka Indoor Stadium , Nawalapitiya from 02 October to 04 October 2019.

Mayor of the municipal council Nawalapitiya, Mr. Sashanka Sampath Sanjeewa graced the occasion as Chief guest.

The SLAF Team Participated in both men’s and women’s categories and men’s Team became Overall Runner-up and champion of the Team Event. Medal haul for the SLAF men’s team was 6 Gold, 3 Silver and 8 Bronze medals with 45 total points. Twelve societies scattered around the Island took part in the competition.
