The outgoing Commanding Officer of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Weerawila, Air  Commodore Asoka Warakanga USP, MHRM (UoC),psc  handed over duties to Group Captain Manoaj Keppetipola MBA(PIM-USJ),MDS(UoK),BA(Def Stu)Hons, FIPM, AMITD(SL), AMIM(SL), psc during the traditional Change of Command Parade yesterday  (07 Oct 2019).

Air  Commodore Asoka Warakanga took over Command of SLAF Station Weerawila on 31 March 2017 and will be proceeding as Commanding Officer Volunteer Air Force.

Group Captain Manoaj Keppetipola held the appointment of Officer Commanding personnel Services of SLAF Base Katunayaka  prior to being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Weerawila.
 
The ceremonial Handing over/Taking over Parade took place at the Station parade area and was commanded by Wing Commander WGND Wewakubura

The outgoing Commanding Officer addressed the parade and all personnel of the Station, thanked them for the support they had extended during his tenure as the Commanding Officer.
