The Change of Command ceremony of the Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa was held today (8 October 2019).

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore WWPD Fernando RSP, MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt,MA (Sec Stu-USA), MDS, psc handed over duties to Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardhana RSP, USP, MDS, MIExpE, psc. The ceremonial Handing Over / Taking Over Parade took place at the at prestigious Bently Ground and the parade was commanded by Wing Commander  DSMLK Sugathadasa.

The Outgoing Commanding Officer addressed the parade and all personnel of the School and thanked them for the support they had extended to him during his tenure as the Commanding Officer and also expressed his appreciation for having had the opportunity to serve in the prestigious capacity of the Commanding Officer Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa.
