Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo emerged the Champions, while SLAF Trade Training School (TTS) Ekala emerged runners up at the Inter Unit Badminton Championship 2019 held at Health Management Center Colombo from 07th to 10th October 2019 with the participation of large number of players representing all SLAF establishments.

Leading Aircraftman Kaushalya DML from SLAF Station Colombo and Aircraftwoman Rathnayake WMSK of SLAF Trade Training School (TTS) Ekala won the Men’s and Women's Open Single Championships respectively.

Director Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering of SLAF, Air Vice Marshal Bandula Herath graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Director Sports, Air Commodore Indika Weerarathne, Chairman SLAF Badminton, Group Captain Charith Bodiseela, Senior Officers and Other Ranks were also present to witness the finals and the prize awarding ceremony.
