10th Anniversary of No 06 Air Defence Radar Squadron
No 06 Air Defence Radar Squadron at SLAF Academy China Bay celebrated its 10th anniversary on 15 October 2019. Several events were organized to mark the day which included a morning Parade, a volley Ball tournament followed by all ranks lunch.
The Commanding Officer of No 06 Air Defence Radar Squadron, Wing Commander DLJRK Dodamgoda reviewed the parade. The parade was followed by a tree planting programme at Radar Hill premises in parallel to the Academy tree planting programme which was initiated under the directives of the Commandant of SLAF Academy China Bay.
Shramadana campaign was carried out at ‘Lanka Patuna’ temple along with offering of dry rations as alms to the ‘Maha Sanga’. Lunch was offered to the children of ‘Rewatha’ Child Orphanage and dental screening programme for school children of Nalanda College China Bay also carried out to commemorate the anniversary.
