Nalanda College, Colombo paid its highest tribute, the "Nalanda Keerthi Sri Sammanaya" to the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias during its annual prize giving at Malalasekara Theater of the Nalanda College today (31 October 2019).

The "Nalanda Keerthi Sri", is a felicitation award accorded annually to the most outstanding past Nalandian who has excelled in his respective field. This awards ceremony was organized by Nalanda Old Scouts Association (NOSA) together with the Principal, staff and present student body of Nalanda College.

Dr. Jayantha Lal Ratnasekera, Vice Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University, attended the ceremony as a Chief Guest. The Commander received the award from Mr. Thilak Waththuhewa, Principal of the Nalalanda College in front of a full house at the Malalasekara Theater.
