Opening Address Disaster Management First Response Courses

No.1 Disaster Management First Response Cadet Training Course and No 28 Disaster Management First Response Course commenced yesterday (4th November 2019) at the Disaster Management Training Center, Sri Lanka Air Force Station, Mullaithivu
Group Captain AN Wijesiriwardena delivered the opening address followed by the Commanding Officer and other instructors brief for the trainees about important aspects of the course.
The course is for a duration of 40 working days and is scheduled to be conducted between 4th November and 31st December 2019.
This is the first occasion that Officer Cadets and a Lady Officer Cadet is following the course at the DMTC. One (1) SLAF Officer, One (1) Officer from the Sri Lanka Navy, 40 Other Rankers from the Army, Navy and Air Force reported to follow the course. Further the STF has also confirmed that one Officer and Other Ranker will be joining the course shortly.
