Community Service programmes took pride of place in the lead up to the 37th Anniversary celebrations of SLAF Base Anuradhapura.   A Shramadana campaign at “Shanthi Mahalu Niwasaya” on the 08th of October 2019, a Shramadana campaign at Isurumuniya Rajamahavharaya, on the 17th of October 2019, colour washing and conducting of fire lecture at the Dental Section of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital on the 26th of October 2019 and an Alms Giving for 100 monks at “Mahinda Maha Piriwena” on the 10th of November 2019 were held to coincide with the Anniversary which fell on 11th of November. 

The 37th Anniversary celebration proper, on the 11th of November 2019, commenced with the customary Working Parade which was reviewed by the Base Commander, Air Commodore RP Liyanagamage.  This was followed by a tree planting program and sport activities. The day’s proceedings concluded with an All Ranks Lunch.
