Fourth SLAF Aviation Contingent in the Central African Republic Return Home

The Fourth Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Contingent in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) arrived in Sri Lanka early morning today (13 Nov 2019). They returned after completing 2 years of service in Central Africa as peacekeepers of UN Mission.

The first batch consisting of 8 Officers and 80 Airmen arrived at the Bandaranayke International Airport. The other remaining members are scheduled to return back to the island at the end of this month on completion of proper handing over of duties to the fifth contingent which also departed the island today.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
