The 5th Contingent from the Sri Lanka Air Force to take up duties with UN Peacekeeping Mission in the Central Africal Republic, departed  on 13 November 2019.  The contingent comprised 18 Officers and 91 Airmen.
 
The contingent is led by Wing Commander Kushan Wanniarchchi and consisted of various professionals required to perform duties at the UN Peacekeeping Mission in the Central African Republic.
