Commander's Inspection of SLAF Station Colombo

Having concluded the inspection at Air Force Headquarters on 14th November 2019 the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias conducted the Commander’s Inspection of SLAF Station Colombo yesterday (15th November 2019).
The Commander was welcomed by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Vice Marshal Camillus Labrooy. A Street Lining was accorded to the Commander on his arrival.
Commander visited all areas of the station. On conclusion of the inspection, the Commander took a seat at the Airmens’ Mess with a cross section of Officers, Airmen, Airwomen and Civilian Staff for the customary All Ranks Lunch. This was followed by the Commanders’ Address at which he appreciated the commendable work done by all personnel at AFHQ and Station Colombo in maintaining high standards. He also stated that Air Force Headquarters was the heart of the Air Force and that during his inspection he witnessed first hand. the high standards which were maintained. He thanked everyone for their commitment and dedication and encouraged them to continue in the same manner in future.
The Commander then departed to the Officers Married Quarters Complex Kollupitiya, Air Force Health Management Centre and finally the AFHQ Officers’ Mess Colombo.
