Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo and SLAF Trade Training School Ekala emerged as Men's and Women's Champions respectively at the Inter Unit Athletic Championship 2019, which was held today (21 November 2019) at SLAF Base Katunayake.

SLAF Base Hingurakgoda and SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa became Men's and Women's Runner Ups respectively at the championship.

Aircraftman Nayanappriya RAD from SLAF Station Ampara was awarded the Lakshman De Alwis Challenge Trophy for the Best Male Athlete while Aircraftwoman Nisansala HN from SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) was awarded the Chairman Athletics Challenge Trophy for the Best Female Athlete of the championship.

Director Ground Operations, Air Vice Marshal WLRP Rodrigo graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Chairman SLAF Athletics, Air Commodore HSS Thuiyacontha, Officers and other ranks were present for the finals and the Awards Ceremony.
