Change of Command at Sri Lanka Aviation Unit, Central Africa
The Handing over Taking over Parade of the No 5th Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) was held at the Contingent Parade Ground on 19 November 2019.
Wing Commander KM Wanniarachchi RSP and Bar took over duties as No 5th Contingent Commander from No 4th Contingent Commander, Wing Commander WR DE Zoysa WWV, RSP and Two Bars, BSc (Def Stu).
After the Parade, the new Contingent Commander and all the other Contingent members participated in religious activities held at the Contingent Buddhist Shrine followed by the Administrative handing over taking over procedure which took place at the Contingent Commander’s Office.
