Vanni and China Bay Men’s and Women’s Inter Unit Cricket Champions 2019

SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni and SLAF Academy China Bay emerged as Men’s and Women’s Champions respectively at the Inter Unit Cricket Championship 2019 which concluded yesterday (28 November 2019) at SLAF Base Katunayake.
In the Men's Finals, SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni were bowled out for a score of 109 in 19.4 overs. In reply SLAF Station Morawewa were bowled out for 108 runs in 20 overs.
In the Women's Finals, SLAF Academy China Bay scored 60 runs for 2 wicket. In reply SLAF Base Katunayake scored only 34 runs for 2 wickets.
The Director Training of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Vice Marshal MDAP Payoe, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Chairman SLAF Cricket, Air Commodore OANS Fanando, Officers and other ranks also witnessed the finals.
