Certificate Awarding Ceremony of Disaster Management First Response Course for Officer Cadets
The Certificate Awarding Ceremony for the trainees of the No 1 Officer Cadets and Lady Officer Cadets Disaster Management First Response Course was held at the Disaster Management School, Sri Lanka Air Force Station, Mullaitivu on 06 December 2019.
The Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mullaitivu Group Captain AN Wijesiriwardena graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer Disaster Management Training School, Squadron Leader PMB Madahapola, all Officers and Other Ranks of the Station were also present for the ceremony.
The thirty day training programme focused on introduction to Disasters & Hazard, Disaster Management Council, Overview of Disaster Management, Hazard Assessment, Preparedness and Response Plans, Civil Law pertaining to Disaster Management, Emergency Operation and standard operation procedures, Incident Command System, Sphere Project and camp management, First Aid, Casualties Management.
4 Officer Cadets and 1 Lady Officer Cadet received their certificates at the occasion.
