SLAF - PAF Friendly Sports Exchange Programme Cricket Tournament concludes at Colombo

The Pakistan Air Force Men’s Cricket Team won the Sports Exchange Programme Friendly Cricket Tournament which was concluded yesterday at the Rifle Green Grounds of SLAF Station Colombo.

A 17 member Cricket Team arrived in Sri Lanka on the 7th of December 2019 to participate in a Friendly Cricket Tournament with their SLAF counterparts under the Sports Exchange Programme.

Pakistan Air Force Cricket Team won the first friendly encounter by 6 wickets. The match took place the Cricket Grounds of SLAF Base Katunayake on the 9th of December 2019.

The second friendly encounter with the PAF team took place at the same venue on the 10th of December 2019. The SLAF Team equalized the three match tournament (1-1) by winning the second match by 5 wickets.

The third and final match of the tournament was held at the Rifle Green Grounds at SLAF Station Colombo yesterday (12 December 2019). Pakistan Air Force Cricket team won the final match by 3 wickets thereby securing the tournament victory by 2-1.

The Chief of Staff of the SLAF, Air Vice Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana graced the awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest. Members of the Air Force Board of Management, President of SLAF Cricket, Air Commodore Suharshi Fernando, Officers and airmen were also present to witness the event.
