The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Sumangala Dias participated in the Special Cashew Tree Planting Programme conducted by the Command Agro Unit to enhance the cashew production in the country today (28 December 2019).

The Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore Sampath Thuyacontha, Command Agro Officer, Air Commodore Suharshie Fernando and other Officers were present for the occasion.

It is planned to continue the cashew planting programme at Air Force Bases and Stations located island wide with hybrid, budded and seedling plants.
