The Base Commander, SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore HSS Thuyacontha declared open the newly constructed building of the Coir Mattress Manufacturing facility of the Research and Development Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake today (8 January 2020).

Command Research and Development Officer, Air Commodore JP Balasooriya, Formation CO’s of SLAF Base Katunayake, Officers and Other Ranks of the R&D Wing at Katunayake were also present at the occasion.
