Hospitality Management School Holds Certificate Awarding Ceremony

The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of Ground Stewards Advanced Course, Catering Assistants Basic Course, Ground Stewards Basic Course and the NVQ Certificate awarding for the trainees who have earned their NVQ qualifications was held at the Hospitality Management School, Sri Lanka Air Force Station, Sigiriya today (08 January 2020).
The Deputy Director Finance, Group Captain TI Fernando graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer of the SLAF Station Sigiriya, Wing Commander Chinthaka Alwis, the Chief Instructor of the Hospitality Management School, Wing Commander Buddhika Kularatne, Officers and Other Ranks of the Station were also present.
This traditional ‘Certificates Awarding Ceremony’ is conducted at the end of the respective training programmes in recognition of their training achievements. The four months of training were focused on responsibilities and duties of Catering Assistants and Ground Stewards, catering procedure and administration, hygiene, simple cookery, kitchen management, English language knowledge, computer application, knowledge on E-PASS and project preparations. 11 Ground Steward Advanced trainees, 8 Catering Assistant Basic trainees, 2 Ground Steward Basic trainees and 9 trainees who have already passed out from the school were privileged to obtain their NVQ Certificates at the ceremony.
The trophies for the Best Student of the respective courses were awarded to the following trainees.
