Russian Commander in Chief of Land Forces calls on the Commander
The Commander in Chief of Land Forces of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Oleg Salyukov called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias this morning (5 February 2020) at AFHQ.
The visiting Commander in Chief was received at by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Vice Marshal CB Labrooy where he was accorded a Guard of Honour by the SLAF Colour Wing.
The Commander of the Air Force received the visiting Commander in Chief at the AFHQ lobby and conducted him to Commander’s Office where they held a cordial discussion on matters of bilateral interest. The visiting Commander in Chief was then introduced to the Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana and to the members of the Air Force Board of Management. Afterwards, the two Chiefs exchanged mementos to marks this historical visit and General of the Army Salyukov also made a note in the visitors book as well.
