The 43rd batch of the Non Commissioned Officers Management Course recently had its passing out ceremony on September 03 at the NCO Management School Auditorium belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy at China Bay.

The comprehensive course which is accredited to the University of Rajarata was successfully completed this year by a batch comprising of 28 Senior Non Commissioned Officers, 29 Junior Non Commissioned Officers and 01 Naval Petty Officer.

Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest was the Base Commander of Sri Lanka Air Force Base Rathmalana Air Commodore DLS Dias. The Commandant of SLAF Academy Chinabay Air Vice Marshal KVB Jayampathy and several other distinguished high ranking officers were also present.

Established with the prime intention of providing a sound academic knowledge to the Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF, the institution offers a comprehensive syllabus. During the 12 week duration, this course of the NCO Management School focuses mainly on sharpening leadership and management skills of its students.

The Commanding Officer of the school is Wing Commander TVD Deshapriya. Squadron Leader P.S Jayawickrama is the Chief Instructor at the establishment while Squadron Leader A.S Welisara and Squadron Leader RSANE Rajapaksha are part of the academic staff in the roles of Senior Instructor and Directing Staff respectively.

The Commanding Officer of the No.03 Supply & Maintenance Depot, Group Captain SAS De Silva, the Commanding Officer of the No.01 Flying Training Wing, Wing Commander AWSJ Aranayaka, the Commanding Officer of the Combat Training School, Wing Commander DCI Weerasooriya, the Commanding Officer of the No. 03 Air Defence Radar Squadron, Squadron Leader TB Premaratna, the Officer Commanding Personnel Service, Group Captain RMMMB Werellagama, the Senior Instructor of the Junior Command & Staff College Wing Commander PSN Fernando were the other distinguished guests present
