Japan Air Self Defence Force Delegation calls on the Commander

A 5 member delegation from the Japan Air Self Defence Force led by Colonel Kadokura Mitsuyoshi called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias at Air Force Headquarters today (19 February 2020).
The delegation had a cordial discussion with the Commander on matters related to Search and Rescue (SAR) operations before exchanging mementos to mark the visit.
The delegation visited SLAF Base Ratmalana yesterday (18 February 2020) in order to evaluate the Search and Rescue assets, equipment and personnel of the SLAF who are involved in SAR Operations. Further, the delegation also conducted a seminar for SLAF personnel involved in SAR operations where the way forward in the development of a SAR Manual was discussed.
