"International Mother Language Day and World Scout Founders Day" was held at Independence Square in Colombo on 21st February 2020 under patronage of the Prime Minister Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The event was organized by the Bangladesh High Commission to Sri Lanka with Ministry of Education and Sri Lanka Scout Association. Air Scouts from SLAF Base Ratmalana, SLAF Base Katunayake and SLAF Trade Training School Ekala participated for the occasion.

43 Air Scouts and an Air Scout Leader from 25th Air Scout Group at SLAF Base Ratmalana participated for the "World Scout Founders Day Celebration Programme" held at Primarry School, Piliyandala on 22nd February 2020. The event was organized by the Moratuwa Piliyandala District Branch of Sri Lanka Scout Association.
