The Outgoing Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi, Group Captain GSN Priyadarshana RSP and Bar, USP, Justice of Peace handed over duties to Group Captain WKASW Vithana BA (Def Stu). The Ceremonial Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade took place at the Station Parade Square yesterday (28 February 2020). 

The outgoing Commanding Officer took over Command of the Station on the 19th of February 2018 and had served at the position for more than two years. During his tenure he has taken many steps to develop the Station as well as to improve facilities of Officers and Airmen/Airwomen.

The outgoing Commanding Officer thanked all personnel of the Station for the support they extended to him during his tenure and wished all a successful future.

The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain Vithana was in Command of SLAF Station Batticaloa before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi.
