A Fire awareness programme and workshop for the Officers of the Base was conducted by the Fire School & Fire Tender Maintenance (FS & FTM) Squadron at SLAF Base Katunayake yesterday (11 March 2020). A cross section of Officers and representing all formations of the Base participated for the workshop.

The training programme was carried out by the FS & FTM Squadron under the guidance and supervision of the Base Commander, Air Commodore Sampath Thuyacontha and the Acting Commanding Officer of the FS & FTM Squadron, Squadron Leader Akhila De Alwis. The programme was informative, where participants were able to acquire a wealth of knowledge regarding Fire and Safety measures.
