A proposal made by Senior Officers to the Commandant became a reality when, as the first step, a voluntary contribution funds were collected within the Academy. This collection was done in order to prepare dry ration packs to be distributed among families who are affected due to the inevitable restrictions imposed on them in order to control the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Local Government Officials, Religious Heads and other various officials praised the timely and worthy effort of the SLAF.
