Four Storied Accommodation Block at SLAF Station Colombo Declared Open by the Commander

A newly constructed four storied Accommodation Block was declared open at SLAF Station Colombo by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias this morning (22 April 2020).
The new building will fulfill a long outstanding requirement for living-in accommodation facilities at SLAF Station Colombo. The new building will be able to provide accommodation for 142 SLAF personnel.
The construction of the building was done under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering and carried out by engineering personnel from the Civil Engineering Wing at Katunayake and the Works Section of SLAF Station Colombo.
The Director Civil Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Ruchira Samarasinghe, the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Vice Marshal Camillus Labrooy participated for the simple ceremony together with a few Officers from the Directorate of Civil Engineering and from SLAF Station Colombo.
