SLAF CBRNE Wing Disinfects Dutch Ship Crew who arrived from Netherland

The SLAF Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive Wing conducted disinfection operations for 236 crew members of a Dutch Ship docked at the Galle Harbor. These crew members arrived today (3 May 2020) to the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport on a special aircraft from Netherland as a replacement crew for a Dutch Ship which is docked at the Galle Harbor.
On the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias, a special CBRNE Team led by Wing Commander Nilendra Perera, the Commanding Officer of the SLAF CBRNE Wing conducted the operations. During the operation all 236 crew members, their belongings and the aircraft that they arrived in were disinfected by the CBRNE Team.
Further, another 53 Dutch personnel are due to leave the island on the same aircraft tonight. They will also be disinfected by the SLAF CBRNE Team before leaving the island.
