Army beat  the SLAF in a thrilling and hard faught Hand Ball final played at the Royal Collage Sports Complex last afternoon (16 Sept).


The vastly experinced soldiers showed their prowess warding off continuos assaults by the determined Airman.The game as in any inter service game was hotly contested with neither giving the other  an opening. The Army goal keeper, with his sheer briiliance in defence dominated the proceedings of the game.


The SLAF having commenced the game of Hand Ball a short three months ago can be proud of their achievement of defeating the more experienced Sailors to reach the final. The score line of 21-13 shows much to the satisfaction of the Airmen that they too were up to the challenge but could not match the skills and experince of the Soldiers.
