The SLAF Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive Wing conducted yet another disinfection operation today (6 May 2020) at the Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo. The temple has planned to distribute 6000 Cooked Meal Packets during the Vesak Poya Day tomorrow where the Sri Lanka Air Force will be providing assistance by preparing the meals.

On the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias, a special CBRNE Team conducted the operation in order to disinfect the entire temple premises before the commencement of meal preparation.

A Special 7 man CBRNE Team led by Pilot Officer SKS Rukshan conducted the disinfection operation.
