The fall out Parade of No.65 Intake Officer Cadets Basic Ground Combat Course, No.17 Intake Lady Officer Cadets Basic Ground Combat Course, No.169 B Intake Regular Airmen, No.132 Intake Volunteer Airmen, No.39 Intake Regular Airwomen and No.36 Intake Direct Entry Airmen Recruit Courses was held at the Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa yesterday (2 June 2020). The parade was commanded by Wing Commander Buddhika Bandara, the Officer Commanding Training of the Combat Training School.

Director Training, Air Vice Marshal MDAP Payoe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer of the SLAF Combat Training School, Air Commodore C Wickramaratne, all Officers and Service personnel were also present for the occasion. The parade proceedings were arranged to address the health concerns in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total of 48 Officer Cadets from the No 65 Intake of Officer Cadets and No 17 Intake Lady Officer Cadets along with 663 Airmen and Airwomen passed out from the Combat Training School yesterday. The Director Training addressed the new entrants during the parade and congratulated them on successfully completing the Basic Ground Combat Training. He reminded the new entrants to always remember that they are now part of an illustrious and battle hardened Air Force and that they have a responsibility to always maintain a very high level of integrity and discipline.
