Lanyard and Cane Awarding Ceremony of Gunner Instructors at Combat Training School Diyatalawa

The Lanyard and Cane Awarding Ceremony of the No. 56 Airmen and No.15 Airwomen Gunner Instructors Technique Courses was held at Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa this morning
(8 June 2020).
The Commanding Officer of the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, Air Commodore C Wickramaratne graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Officer Commanding Training, Wing Commander WHMBS Bandara, all Officers and Instructors were also present for the occasion. Further, Corporal Ranasinghe GDTWK was adjudged as the Best All Round Gunner Instructor of the course.
44 Airmen and an Airwoman were qualified to receive lanyards and canes during the graduation ceremony. The Commanding Officer addressed the new instructors and congratulated them on the successful completion of the course. The Commanding Officer emphasized that through hard work and dedicated training they have reached an important mile stones in their carriers and all the instructors should work with perseverance to discharge duties of their instructorship in the SLAF.
