Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake Celebrates 17th Anniversary with Community Service Project

The CEW which presently consists of 15 Civil Engineering Officers and 1832 airmen trained in various civil engineering disciplines. Further, the CEW was established to undertake all the major constructions and rehabilitations of the Sri Lanka Air Force and the State sector as planned by Air Force Headquarters.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the prevailing situation in the country, the Wing conducted a community service project by donating dry ration packs to families in need in close proximity to SLAF Base Katunayake.

The event was organized by service personnel of the Wing under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander ND Ekanayake.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
