The  Defence Services Games 2010 theme song was launched by the President Defence Services Sports Board, Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander of the Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke on 23rd September 2010 at the Air Force Headquarters Auditorium.


“Yamu Yamu Peratama” a concept of the Commander of the Air Force was composed by the popular Sri Lankan  Band ‘Centigradz’ together with the famed female artist Sanjeewani Weerasinghe in collaboration with the Air Force. The heartfelt lyrics to this song were put together by Suneth Rupasinghe.


The Chief of Staff Air Vice Marshal PB Premachandra, Deputy Chief of Staff  Air Vice Marshal HDAbeywickrama,  Members of the Air Force Board of Management, Officers and the other ranks of Army, Navy and Air Force, members of Centigradz with Sanjeewani Weerasinghe, Suneth Rupasinghe and members of the media were also present at this launch.
