Commander’s Inspection of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda for the Year 2020

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias conducted the Commander’s Inspection of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda yesterday (27 August 2020).
Prior to the inspection proper, the Commander reviewed the static Commander’s Inspection Parade commanded by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, Group Captain NHDN Dias. Certificates of Commendation were awarded to following service personnel and civilians during the parade for their meritorious contributions to the Base and the entire Air Force.

During the course of the inspection, the Commander also declared open a newly constructed Regiment Living in Billet. The Commander visited selected areas of the Base including the Base Headquarters, ,No 7 Squadron, No 9 Squadron, Uniform Outfitter Section, Officers’ Mess, WOs’ & SNCOs’ Mess, Regimental Special Forces Wing, No 25 Regiment Wing, Base Armory and the Motor Transport Section.

Concluding the Commander’s Inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks and the civilian personnel and expressed his appreciation of their hard work in maintaining the Base up to the expected standard during and through demanding times.
