70 Civilians Quarantined at the SLAF Quarantine Centres Leave for Homes

62 civilians arrived from the India and 08 civilians arrived from Middle East countries were quarantined respectively at the SLAF Quarantine Centres at Palaly and Mullaitivu were released today (18 September 2020). These Quarantine Centres were established on the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias in order to support the government’s effort of controlling the COVID-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka.
These civilians have been instructed to further self-quarantine themselves at homes for a period of 14 days. Operation of these Quarantine Centres are supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palaly, Group Captain WR De Zoysa and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mullaitivu, Group Captain AN Wijesiriwardena.
